June 16 Updates

1. Missing Cats– both missing from E Lake Desire – please keep
an eye out!

2. Last Day of School this Wednesday! Please note that school for Kent School District this Wednesday, June 18th. Happy Summer!

3. Lake Desire SUMMER BARBECUE! Tuesday, August 5th at 6pm. Join us for our fun summer get together. The Club will provide Hamburgers and Hot Dogs, you can bring extra tables and chairs, sides/salads/desserts and drinks.  We do need to borrow a BBQ, if you are close by the clubhouse and have a way of getting your BBQ there and back. Also, if you can help set up or clean up, please send a quick mail to staffordlkdesire@gmail.com. See you there!

June 11 Updates

Lake Desire Residents:
1. More sightings of the black bears – The black bears are still hanging around the area, with a sighting last week on the E Lake Desire hillside, and Monday morning in the watershed area across Petrovitsky from Northwood Junior High. I found this article online on the King County Fish and Wildlife site about living with wildlife, specifically bears: http://wdfw.wa.gov/living/bears.html .

3. Update on Group Mailboxes – We are working with the Contractor and Post Office Coordinator, and have our final list of those choosing to participate in group mailboxes in! Big thanks to John Madden, Kristen Stendera and Phyllis Miller for helping to coordinate. We have a 12-box going in at the Clubhouse (still 2 spots left if you are interested in participating and haven’t reached out!), and a 16-box and an 8-box going in on separate spots on E Lake Desire. We will get in touch via email with those who committed to participating soon with a final price, it looks to be coming in right near our estimate.
